Can you spare a minute?

Published by emyette under General

A healthier Christmas - in all manners of health

Published by emyette under General

As an active, concerned mom, I subscribe to various organizations’ newsletters on topics related to healthy parenting. I just wanted to share some of the holiday-related tips and information I’ve received. Just think of it as my monthly (or periodically) PSA.

Maggie thought the cake was a funny texture but worth trying - she sat with Emma (Erika’s mom) [...]

One month out

Published by emyette under General

The author of the NY Times article linked below had it right when she said that a miscarriage isn’t an event with a defined timespan - its beginning may be dated with either a gut feeling, a twinge of pain, or another physical symptom; its end, for many couples, never comes.  The physical aspects may [...]

Backyardigans Live! The Tale of the Mighty Knight

Published by emyette under General

Nick Jr’s preschool show The Backyardigans has a live theatre production touring the US, and when we found out it would be coming to South Bend, my mom and I knew we had to take the kids to see it.  It was a great way to introduce them to the theatre in a family-friendly, not [...]

Where’s my “Soccer Mom” t-shirt?

Published by emyette under General

One of the things i am loving about being back in the States is the freedom I have to play outside, whenever and wherever, and just be out and about.  With this freedom, obviously, comes the obligation to help Michael realize his dream of being a world-famous soccer player.
Our friend Anne, of the Watson Highlands, [...]
