El inicio
I’ve decided to follow in the footsteps of my girlfriends and keep a blog. I’m hoping, like Emily, that it will serve as an outlet for thoughts and insights into my life as a mother of three, especially as we prepare for a probable move overseas. We’ll see if I’m able to keep up with it on a regular basis. Here we go!
I’ve spent the last week packing for Florida and Honduras - we leave Thursday for Florida, and will spend two days with Michael-John’s family including a family party on Saturday. Then we head Sunday to Honduras - we’ll spend one night with Andrea and Matthew and their 4 kids, and head to the Finca on Monday arriving in time for dinner and community night. We’ll spend 4 days with the vols, houseparents and kids, playing soccer on the campo, swimming in the Caribbean and sitting on the porch with Delia - I’m excited to see her again, as I probably know her better than I know anyone else who’s still around. We’ll head back to Andrea’s on Friday and fly back to Florida on Saturday, only to head out early Sunday morning the 17th and return to Boston. Whew! It’s a lot of travel and stress, but I’m looking forward to seeing the old vols and meeting the new ones. The sun and warmth are just a bonus…
Now, if only the boys will stop goofing and go to sleep so I can watch CSI in peace…
